Greek/Australian performer and songwriter Michaela Burger welcomes you into her family’s story, as she shines a unique spotlight on the migrant experience which is touching, hard-hitting and hilarious!

While enjoying a traditional Greek feast you’ll traverse 100 years from Russia to the Australian outback – following the hardship, ingenuity, tragedy and triumph present in all migrants’ stories.

The Performer

Michaela Burger

Burger was the recipient of the award for Best Cabaret Adelaide Fringe 2016, Best Cabaret weekly Adelaide Fringe 2019, inaugural Frank Ford Award 2019 and a Helpmann Award-nominee for Best Cabaret Performer 2016. 

She is the co-writer and star of the hit show Exposing Edith - which has appeared to sell out audiences throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Other career highlights include Rumpelstiltskin (Southbank Centre London, Windmill & State Theatre of SA), The Merry Widow (State Opera of SA), Can You Hear Colour? (Adelaide Festival/Patch Theatre), Brel (Adelaide Cabaret Festival) and Cranky Bear (Patch Theatre).
