Love/Hate Actually

Amy loves it. Natalie hates it. Who's right?

Amy thinks the 2003 film Love Actually represents everything good about the human experience of love.

Natalie thinks it's unrealistic and manipulative crap.

Part double-act, part film lecture, part game show, this two-woman comedy showdown asks whether Love Actually is the ultimate rom-com.... or ultimately terrible.

What will you decide?

"This is brilliant" - Scenestr
"Raucously funny" - The Creative Issue
"An absolute treat" - 4ZZZ
"Sweet, cheesy and funny" - This is Radelaide
"Packed full of entertaining commentary" - Arts Review

The Performers

Amy Currie and Natalie Bochenski are writer/performers from Brisbane, Australia.

Together they have more than 30 years’ experience in the theatre, particularly in comedy and improvisation. The pair has performed in countless scripted and non-scripted shows together.

They created Love/Hate Actually in late 2017, inspired by their decade-long annual fight about the merits of the rom-com Love Actually. The show sold out its debut season at Brisbane’s Wonderland Festival, and subsequently delighted audiences and critics at Perth Fringe World (2018/19), Melbourne Fringe (2018), a return season at the Wonderland Festival (2018), Adelaide Fringe (2019) and Newcastle Fringe (2019).
