Comfort Food Cabaret

Australia’s singing cook, Michelle Pearson returns to Edinburgh to present her award-winning musical dinner party, Comfort Food Cabaret.

After a sold out 2018 Edinburgh Festival Fringe debut, the popular cabaret cooking sensation returns and will be performed as a three-course dinner.

Performed as a dinner party, Pearson’s comedic musical-foodie experience merges home style cooking with recipe demonstrations and traditional musical cabaret. The Aussie songstress tells a story of growing up in a strict but amusing Lebanese household and how her childhood dinner menu set her up for hilarious romantic mishaps and some healthy family competition. The dinner party also includes stunning tributes to lost loved ones and the catalyst that inspired her to take a risk and put her passion into practice.

In addition to sharing her personal stories and heartfelt interpretations of pop, rock and jazz songs, Michelle also shares her personal recipes which are served up to the audience over three courses.

The experience is immersive with Michelle celebrating local ingredients, involving the audience with the cooking and delving into how food and music connects us through all stages of life.
